About

me_byrichardI am a young, nomadic scientist passionate about travel, issues facing women in STEM, photography, kayaking and various other pursuits. When I say I’m a nomad, I mean that, my current ‘countries lived in’ count is five, but it is certainly not my last. My previous work was in the field of evolutionary developmental biology, which is an interdisciplinary field crossing genetics, molecular biology, developmental biology, and these days a bit of ecology as well. These days, my focus is more on evolutionary genetics, but hopefully in the future I can re-incorporate developmental biology into my research focus. I hope my blog reflects my interests, both within and outside of science and provides an interesting read for you.
